Pumpkin Payasam / Pumpkin Kheer with Sugar




  

Pumpkin  Payasam / Pumpkin Kheer  With sugar  :

          It’s a very yummy and  delicious payasam.. try and enjoy the taste. J

Ingredients :
·        Pumpkin (yellow ) – 2 cups (cut into small cubes)
·        Thick Milk – 3  cups
·        Sugar – 4 to 7 spn
·        Cashews – 5 quatered
·        Cardamom powder - pinch
·        Raisins – 8
·        Ghee – 2 spn
·        Almonds – 3  sliced for garnishing

Preparation:
·        Heat ghee in a pan ,  roast the cashews till they turn golden brown  and raisins  till it puff up and keep it aisde.
·        Remove the skin, wash and cut the pumpkin into small cubes.
·        Pressure cook with half cup of water for 1 whistles.
·        Cool it and make a paste.

Method :
·        Pour milk in a heavy bottomed pan ,and allow it to boil.
·        Then add the pumpkin paste into the boiling milk.
·        cover and cook it for  8  to 10 mins.
·        Keep stirring to avoid burning at the bottom.
·        Once the pumpkin paste and milk are blended each other add the cardamom powder, raisins and cashews.
·        Atlast add sugar and cook it for 2 -3 mins. . Done
·        Garnish with almonds slices.
                           




Yummy Pumpkin kheer  is ready.. J serve hot  to your dears and nears  J
