Mochai / Vall Whole Bean Sundal



    

Mochai  / Val whole bean  sundal :

Ingredients :
·        Mochai
·        Grated coconut  - 3 to 5 spn
·        Salt as needed

For seasoning :
·        Oil – 2 spn
·        Mustard seeds – 1 spn
·        Urad dal – 1 spn
·        Curry leaves – few
·        Red chilli – 4 chopped
Preparation :
·        Soak the bean for 5 to 6 hours. Then Pressure cook it with little salt and water  till it softens
·        Once the pressure releases, drain the water completely.
         
Method :
·        Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and let them crackle.
·        Then add urad dal , red chilli pieces and fry it becomes golden brown.
·        Then add curry leaves and sauté to turn crispy..
·        Then add the cooked vall bean  and mix well.
·        Atlast add the grated coconut  and toss well.
·        Simmer it for 3 – 5 mins and switch off the flame...
                                  
Mochai / Vall whole bean  sundal  is ready.. J
