Coconut Kheer / Coconut payasam with Sugar



    Coconut  Payasam / coconut Kheer  With jaggery  :
          It’s a very yummy and  delicious payasam.. try and enjoy the taste. J
Ingredients :
·        Grated coconut – 1 ¼ cup( fresh and tender coconut)
·        Milk – 2 ½ cup
·        Sugar – 7 to 9 spn
·        Cashews – 5 quatered
·        Cardamom powder - pinch
·        Raisins – 8
·        Ghee – 2 spn
·        Almonds – 3  sliced for garnishing

Preparation:
·        Heat ghee in a pan ,  roast the cashews till they turn golden brown  and raisins  till it puff up and keep it aisde.
·        Then in the same pan ,pour one spn of ghee and roast the grated coconut until it turns light brown.

Method :
·        Pour milk in a heavy bottomed pan ,and allow it to boil.
·        Then add the roasted grated coconut into the boiling milk.
·        cover and cook it for  8  to 10 mins. Add the cardamom powder.
·        Keep stirring to avoid burning at the bottom.
·        Once the coconut and milk are blended each other add the cardamom powder, raisins and cashews.
·        Atlast add sugar and cook it for 2 -3 mins. . Done
·        Garnish with almonds slices.
                                   
Coconut kheer  is ready.. J serve hot  to your dears and nears  J
