Mysore Bonda



    Mysore Bonda:

Ingredients :
·        Urad dal – ½ cup
·        Green chilli – 1 chopped
·        Onion – ¼ cup finely chopped(optional)
·        Pepper – 1 spn
·        Grated coconut – 2 spn
·        Rice flour – 3 spn
·        Curry leaves – few
·        Asafetida – a pinch
·        Salt as needed
·        Oil for deep fry

Preparation :
·        Wash and soak urad dal in water for 2 hours. Drain the water completely and grind it in a blender  by adding salt and make a thick batter.

Method :
·        In a bowl ,mix well the urad dal batter , green chilli , pepper , coconut , rice flour, curry leaves and asafoetida. 
·        The batter should be thick not watery..
·        Heat oil for deep frying.
·        Take the bonda batter , and break and drop it in the oil like a small small bondas.
·        Fry until golden brown, stirring in between.
·        Remove it from the oil and drain the excess oil by using colander or paper towel.. done !
                        

Yummy Mysore Bondas are  ready.. serve hot with a cup of coffee or tea J
