Sweet Pidi Kozhukattai




    Sweet Pidi Kozhukattai :

Ingredients :
·         Par boiled rice (puzhungal arisi) – 1 cup
·         Jaggery – 1 cup
·         Grated coconut – ¼ cup
·         Salt as needed
·         Ghee / oil – 1 spn

Preparation :
·         Soak rice in water for 3 hours and grind along with salt  into a coarse batter.
·         Melt the jaggery and filter it to remove impurities.
·         Mix the coarse batter, jaggery syrup and grated coconut.

Method :
·         Heat ghee in a pan, add the the mixture of coarse batter + jaggery syrup + coconut  into it mix well ,put the flame to low and keep strirring.
·         Let it cook till it leaves from the sides of the kadai / pan.
·         Remove from flame ,let it cool for few mins.
·         When it is cool to touch,grease your hands  and pinch equal portions of the cooked mixture and make into a pidi kozhukattai.
·         Place them on a steamer or idly cooker and steam it for 5 to 7 mins..Done !
                                                 

Sweet pidi Kozhukattais  are ready..
