Sugar Candy Pongal / Kalkandu Pongal



      Sugar Candy Pongal / Kalkandu Pongal:

It is a sweety, delicious, tasty and yummy pongal easily made by using pressure cooker.

Ingredients :
·        Raw Rice – ½  cup
·        Sugar candies – ½ cup(powdered it)
·        Milk – ½  cup(boiled)
·        Water – 1 ¼  cup
·        Cardamom powder – 1 pinch
·        Cashew – 4 quatered
·        Raisins – 5
·        Salt a pinch
·        Ghee – 1 spn

Preparation :
·        Powdered the sugar candies well.
·        Heat ghee in a pan and roast the cashews and raisins.
·        Clean and wash the rice.

Method :
·        In a pressure cooker, add little ghee at the bottom and spreads it well.
·        Next add the warm milk , 1 ¼  cup of water, rice  and pinch of salt.
·        Cover the lid of the cooker.
·        Pressure cook it for 3 whistles. Switch off the flame.
·        Once the pressure released, mix the powdered sugar candies, cardamom powder and roasted cashews and raisins to the cooked rice. Done !
                                       



Sweety pongal  is ready.. serve hot to ur dear and near .. J
