Akkaravadisal :
Ingredients :

Raw Rice – ¾ cup
·
Moong dal – ¼ cup
·
Milk – 4 cup(boiled)
·
Powdered Jaggery –
1 ¼ cup
·
Cardamom powder – 1
pinch
·
Cashew – 6 quatered
·
Raisins – 5
·
Salt a pinch
·
Ghee – 7 tp 10

Preparation :
· Heat a spn of ghee in a pan and
roast the cashews till they turn golden brown and raisins till they puff up.
·
Clean and wash the rice.
·
Dry roast the moong dal until aroma comes.
·
Dissolve the jaggery with little water. Melt it and filter to remove
impurities.
Method :
·
In a pressure cooker, add 3 spns of ghee at the bottom and spreads it well.
·
Next add the warm milk , rice ,moong
dal and mix well.
· Put a spoon or small vessel inside
to prevent the milk from boiling over or
spilling .
·
Cover the lid of the cooker.
·
Pressure cook it for 4 whistles.
Switch off the flame.
· Once the pressure released,add
diluted jaggery syrup, balance ghee, cardamom powder , roasted cashews and raisins
to the cooked mixture . Done !
Akkaravadisal is
