Tapioca Poriyal:
Ingredients :

Tapioca / maravalli kilangu – ½ piece (peel , boil, cut
into cubes)
·
Onion – 1 finely chopped
·
Red / green chilli – 2 chopped
·
Salt as needed
·
Turmeric powder – 1 pinch (optional)
·
Grated coconut – 4
to 5 spn
For seasoning :
·
Oil – 2 spn
·
Mustard seeds – 1 spn
·
Channa dal – 2 spn
·
Urad dal – 1 spn
·
Curry leaves - few
Preparation :
·
Peel the skin , boil the kilangu by
adding water and salt. Allow it to cool and cut into small sized cubes .
Method :
·
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds
and let them crackle.
·
Then add urad dal , channa dal and
fry it becomes golden brown.
·
Then add curry leaves and sauté till
it turn crispy.
·
Then add chopped onion ,chilli and sauté well in the
oil for 5 mins.
·
Then add grated coconut and mix well. Add
required salt.
·
Just sprinkle little water.
·
Cover and cook for 5 mins.
·
Then add boiled tapioca pieces and
stir well till all the ingredients
combined altogether.
·
Simmer it for 5 mins and off the
flame. Done !
Yummy Tapioca poriyal is ready.. serve hot with any rice
of your choice J
