Chicken gravy :
Ingredients :

Chicken
– 250 gms ( cut into small pieces)

Onion
– 2 finely chopped
·
Tomato
– 1 chopped
·
Garlic
- 5
·
Chilli
powder – 2 spn
·
Coriander
powder – 4 spn
·
Garam
masala – ½ spn
·
Turmeric
powder – ¼ spn
·
Salt
as needed
To make a paste:
·
Grated
coconut – ½ cup
·
Onion
– ¼ piece
·
Kasa
kasa – ¼ spn
·
Sombu
– ½ spn
·
Ginger
– 1 inch
·
Garlic
– 3
·
Pepper
– 1 spn
·
Cumin
seeds – ½ spn
For seasoning:
·
Oil
– 2 spn
·
Cinnamon
– 2 bits
·
Cloves
– 2
·
Star
anise –1
Preparation :
·
wash
and cut the chicken into small pieces.
·
Grind
grated coconut with onion in a blender with little water and make a fine paste.
Method :
·
Heat
oil in a pan and add the seasoning one after the
another.
·
Then
add chopped onions, chopped garlics and saute till they turn golden colour.
·
Then
add the chopped tomatoes and sauté well till they turn mushy..
·
Then
add chicken pieces and saute till they turn white colour.
·
Then
add all the spicy powders, turmeric powder and water with enough salt.
·
Allow
it to boil for 10mins.
·
Then
add coconut paste and allow it to boil.
·
Cover
and cook it for 15 to 20 mins. Done !
Chicken gravy is ready
.serve hot with steamed rice or biriyani J
