Fulkopir Vada / Cauliflower vada





  Fulkopir Vada / Cauliflower Vada:

          Cauliflower vada is a yummy and delicious vada. It has been serve as a evening snack ..It is a Bengali dish. In this vada I have added kasa kasa(khus khus). It gives fantastic aroma and taste ..try this J

Ingredients :

·        Cauliflower – small piece(finely chopped)
·        Gram flour / kadalai mavu – 1 cup
·        Kasa kasa -  ½ spn
·        Salt as needed
·        Red chilli powder – 1 spn
·        Green chilli – 2 finely chopped
·        Coriander leaves – 2 spn finely chopped
·        Little water

Preparation :

·        Cut the cauliflower into medium size florets and put it in warm water along with salt and turmeric powder for 15 mins.
·        Then take the florets outside and chopped them finely. Then put the chopped florets into the hot boiling water for 2 mins.
·        Drain the water completely.

Method :
·        Take the half cooked chopped cauliflower in a bowl. Then mix all other ingredients like gram flour, kasa kasa, red chilli powder, green chilli and salt by sprinking little water make them into a vadai batter consistency(like paruppu vadai or masala vadai)
·        Take small portion from the batter and flatten it slightly and form a disc shape.
·        Heat oil in a pan, drop the discs gently and fry both sides until golden brown.
·        Place it on a paper towel to drain the excess oil.
·        Repeat the same process for the rest of the vadai batter. Done!
                         



Yummy cauliflower vada is ready.. serve hot J
