Spicy Chicken Curry



Spicy Chicken Curry:

Ingredients :
·        Chicken – 250 gms(washed and cut into pieces)
·        Onion – 2 medium chopped
·        Tomato – 1 chopped
·        Red chilli powder – 2 spn
·        Sombu powder – ½ spn
·        Turmeric powder – ¼ spn
·        Pepper powder – 1 spn
·        Coconut milk – ½ cup
·        Salt as needed
·        Coriander leaves for garnish

For seasoning:
·        Cinnamon – 1 piece
·        Star anise – 1
·        Curry leaves

To make a paste:
·        Green chilli – 8
·        Ginger – 1 inch
·        Garlic – 6 cloves

Preparation :
·        Marinate the chicken pieces with salt, turmeric powder and red chilli powder.set aside for 30 mins.

Method :
·        Heat oil in a pan, add the seasoning one by one.
·        Then add the chopped onions and sauté till turn pink.
·        Then add chilli paste and tomatoes and fry till it turn mushy.
·        Then add the marinated chicken and sauté till its colour change.
·        Next add the turmeric powder, sombu powder, pepper powder and spicy powder and sauté till raw smell goes off.
·        Add enough water and salt. Cover it and cook for 15 – 20 mins.
·        Atlast add the coconut milk and cook it till the curry thickens. Done!
                                  

                                        

Spicy chicken curry is ready.. garnish with coriander leaves..serve hot with steamed rice.. really hot J J
