Sprouted Green Gram Amti For Chapathy




   Sprouted  Green Gram Amti  For Chapathy:
                                       


Ingredients :
·        Sprouted green gram – 1 cup
·        Tamarind paste – ½ spn
·        Chilli powder – 1 ½ spn
·        Garam masala – ½ spn
·        Coriander leaves – few chopped
·        Salt as required
For seasoning :
·        Oil – 2 spn
·        Asafoetida - pinch
·        Mustard seeds – ½ spn
·        Curry leaves - few
To grind : (for masala paste)
·        Grated coconut – ½ cup (dry roast till light brown)
·        Big onion – 2 (chop and fry in oil till it turns brown)
·        Cinnamon – 1 inch piece(fry in oil)
·        Cumin seeds – 1 spn(fry in oil)
·        Cloves – 1(fry in oil)
Preparation :
·        Add 2 cups of water and little salt  to the sprouted green gram and simmer till soft or pressure cook it for 1or 2 whistles.
·        Soak tamarind paste  in little water and extract the juice and discard the pulp.
·        Grind all the masala paste ingredients with little water and keep it aside.
Method :
·        Heat oil in a pan,add the seasoning one by one and sauté for few mins.
·        Then add the ground paste and stir fry for few mins.
·        Next add, tamarind juice,spicy powders and cooked gram.
·        Check the salt,pour enough water and cook till it becomes thick.Done!

Garnish with coriander leaves..serve hot with chapathy .. J
