Kundapuri chicken - Karnataka Style Spicy Chicken




  Kundapuri Chicken – Karnataka style spicy Chicken:

Ingredients :
·        Chicken – 250 gms (washed and cut into pieces)
·        Onion – 1 big chopped
·        Tomato – 2 finely chopped
·        Green chilli – 5 chopped
·        Ginger garlic paste – 2 spn
·        Turmeric powder – ¼ spn
·        Chilli powder – ½ spn
·        Garam masala – ½ spn
·        Salt as needed
·        Coriander leaves for garnish

Kundapuri masala : (roast and grind)

·        Cinnamon – 2 bits
·        Green chilli – 6
·        Pepper – 1 spn
·        Cumin seeds – ½ spn
·        Onion – ½ piece
·        Grated coconut – ½ spn

For seasoning :
·        Oil – 2 spn
·        Mustard seeds – ½ spn

Preparation :
·        Wash and cut chicken into pieces.

Method :
·        Heat oil in a pan, add the mustard seeds.
·        Then add the chopped onions and sauté till turn brown.
·        Then add green chilli , ginger garlic paste and sauté for few mins.
·        Then add the chicken pieces and sauté till its colour change to white.
·        Next add turmeric powder and salt, cook for 5 mins.
·        Then add the kundapuri masala ,chilli powder, garam masala along with enough water. Check the salt.
·        Cover it and cook for 15  mins.
·        Atlast add the finely chopped tomato and cook it for 7 to 10 mins. Done!
·        Garnish with coriander leaves.
                    

Kundapuri chicken is ready.. serve with steamed rice   J
