Poha / Aval Payasam With Jaggery




   Poha /Aval Payasam With Jaggery:

Ingredients :
·        Aval / poha – ¼ cup
·        Powdered jaggery – ¼ cup
·        Milk – 2 ½ cup (boiled)
·        Water – ½ cup
·        Salt a pinch
·        Cashews – 5 quatered
·        Cardamom powder - pinch
·        Raisins – 6
·        Ghee – 2 spn

Method :
·        Dissolve  jaggery in ½  cup of water , melt it and filter it to remove impurities.
·        Heat ghee in a pan, roast the cashews and raisins and keep it aside.
·        In the same pan, roast the aval for few secs.
·        Then add boiled milk and cook till aval becomes soft.
·        Next add jaggery, cardamom powder mix well and switch off the flame before its boil.
·        Decorate with roasted cashews and raisins. Done !
                                    

Yummy payasam is ready.. J
