Pumpkin curd Curry / Pumpkin Mor Kulambu



    Pumpkin  Curd Curry /  Pumpkin  mor kulambu :

Ingredients:
·        Pumpkin – 1 cup(cut into small cubes)
·        Onion – ½ cup chopped
·        Turmeric powder – ¼ spn
·        Yogurt – 1 ½ cup
·        Salt as needed

For seasoning:
·        Oil – 2 spn
·        Mustard seeds – ½ spn
·        Urad dal – ½ spn
·        Asafetida – 1 pinch
·        Curry leaves

To make paste:
·        Channa dal – 1 spn
·        Tur dal  - 2 spn       ( dry roast these two ingredients and make a paste along with the following ingredients )
·        Grated coconut – 3 spn
·        Green chilli – 4
·        Cumin seeds – ½ spm
·        Raw rice – ½ spn

Preparation :
·        Peel, Wash and chop the pumpkin into small cubes .

Method :
·        Heat oil in a pan, add the seasoning one by one.
·        Then add the chopped onion and sauté till they turn pink.
·        Next add ground paste, turmeric powder , salt and buttermilk (yogurt).
·        Cook it for 5 mins. Then add the pumpkin cubes.
·        Cover and cook  it for 15  mins till the curry becomes little thickens. Done!
                                   


Pumpkin curd curry is ready.. serve hot with steamed rice .. J
