Spicy Coconut Thuvaiyal :
It goes well
with curd rice or with hot steamed rice topped with a spn of ghee J
Ingredients :

Grated Coconut – ¾ cup
·
Red chilli – 6
·
Salt as needed
·
Tamarind paste – ¼ spn(optional)
For seasoning :
·
Asafoetida – ½ spn
·
Urad dal – ½ to ¾ spn
·
Oil – 1 spn
Method :
·
Heat oil in a pan, add asafetida, then
add urad dal sauté till the dal turns golden brown.
·
Transfer it to the blender then add
chilli, tamarind paste ,salt and grind it to a fine powder.
·
Next add coconut with little water
,grind it and make a coarse paste.
·
Do not add too much water. It should
be thick. Done!
·
Transfer it to a serving bowl ..
