Peanuts Dal Gravy For Chapathy



   Peanuts Dal Gravy For Chapathy  :
         
Ingredients :
·        Tur dal / Thuvaram paruppu – ½ cup
·        Ripe tomatoes – 2 medium chopped
·        Peanuts – ½ cup
·        Turmeric powder – ¼ spn
·        Lemon juice – 3 spn
·        Salt as needed
·        Coriander leaves for garnish

To  make a paste:
·        Green chilli – 6
·        Ginger – ½ inch

For seasoning:
·        Oil – 1 spn
·        Cinnamon – 2 bits
·        Cumin seeds – ¼ spn
·        Star anise – 1

Preparation :
·        Pressure Cook the tur dal with turmeric powder and  little salt till becomes soft.
·        Cook the peanuts with little water till it becomes soft.
·        Grind green chilli and ginger in a blender with little water and make a fine paste.


Method :
·        Heat oil in a pan, add the seasoning one by one.
·        Then add the chopped tomatoes and sauté well till they turn mushy.
·        Next add the cooked dal ,salt and boiled peanuts, cook it for 5 mins.
·        Then add the chilli ginger paste with enough water. Cover and cook it for 15 mins.
·        Atlast squeeze lemon juice and Garnish with coriander leaves. Done!
                               


Peanuts dal Gravy  is ready .serve hot with chapathy J
