Ragi (Finger Millet) Halwa:
Ingredients :
· Ragi flour – 1
cup
· Natural
unrefined cane sugar(nattu sakkarai) – 1 ½ cup
· Water – 2 cups
· Milk powder –
3 spn
· Cardamom
powder – ½ spn
· Roasted
Cashews – 4
· Salt a pinch
· Ghee – 4 spn
Preparation :
· Melt the cane sugar
in 2 cups of water. Filter it to remove impurities.
Method :
· Dry roast the
ragi flour till it raw smell goes off.
· Then mix the
cane sugar syrup, pinch of salt, cardamom powder ,milk powder and stir the
mixture continuously making sure that no lumps are formed.
· Add ghee and
stir well till you get a thick pulp.
· Garnish with
roasted cashews. Done!
