Chicken Poriyal


   Chicken Poriyal:

Ingredients :
·        Chicken – 250 gms(washed and cut into pieces)
·        Onion – 2 medium chopped
·        Tomato – 1 chopped
·        Garlic – 5 cloves sliced
·        Green chilli – 2 chopped
·        Red chilli powder – 2 spn
·        Turmeric powder – ¼ spn
·        Ginger – 2 spn chopped
·        Grated Coconut- 2spn
·        Salt as needed
·        Coriander leaves for garnish

For seasoning:
·        Oil – 3 spn
·        Cinnamon – 1 piece
·        Sombu – ½ spn
·        Curry leaves


Preparation :
·        Marinate the chicken pieces with litttle salt, turmeric powder . set aside for 30 mins.

Method :
·        Heat oil in a pan, add the seasoning one by one.
·        Then add the chopped onions and sauté till turn pink.
·        Then chilli ,garlic and tomatoes and fry till it turn mushy.
·        Then add the marinated chicken and sauté till its colour change to white.
·        Next add  red chilli powder and sauté till raw smell goes off.
·        Just sprinkle little water and salt as needed. Cover it and cook for 15  mins.
·        Atlast add the chopped ginger and grated coconut , toss well. cook it for 5 mins. Done!
                           


Chicken Poriyal is ready.. garnish with coriander leaves..serve hot with steamed rice.. J
