Ragi Spicy Veg Kollukkattai



           Ragi Spicy  veg  Kolukattai:


           Ragi also called Finger Millet, a powerhouse of proteins, minerals & amino acids. keeps you full for longer, makes you less hungry and aids weight loss.

Ingredients:
·        Ragi flour – 1 cup
·        Oil – 1 spn
·        Mustard seeds – ½ spn
·        Urad dal – ½ spn
·        Ginger – 1 - 2 inch chopped
·        Green chilli – 1 chopped
·        Grated carrot – 1 big
·        Grated cabbage – ¼ cup (optional)
·        Curry leaves few
·        Salt as needed
·        Hot water – 3 to 5 spn

Preparation :
·        Dry roast the ragi flour in a hot pan till aroma comes.
·        Wash and grate the veggies.

Method :
·        Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds when it splutters ,add urad dal and curry leaves sauté for few secs.
·        Then add chilli, ginger  and grated veggies and fry for few mins by adding enough salt.
·        Then mix this mixture to the ragi flour, and add the boiling water to the flour .
·        Mix well and make a dough.
·        Next  divide the dough into equal lemon sized balls.
·        Then take lemon size of dough and make kollukkattai.
·        Steam it in a steamer or a n idly cooker for 5 mins ..Done!
                     

Spicy veg kolukkattai is ready…Serve hot .. J
