Snakegourd Stir Fry



       Snakegourd Stir Fry:
                It is a simple, easy and tasty fry goes well with rasam rice,curd rice and sambar rice.
                                         
                                                      
Ingredients :
·        Snakegourd – 1cup
·        Sambar powder – 1 spn
·        Salt as needed

For temper:
·        Oil – 2 spn
·        Mustard seeds – ½ spn
·        Curry leaves - 2

Preparation :
·        Wash and cut snakegourd lengthwise.then slice it very thinly.

Method :
·        Heat oil in a pan. Crackle the mustard seeds first.
·        Then add curry leaves and sauté for few seconds.
·        Then add chopped snakegourd ,spice powder and stir well.
·        Sprinkle little water for the spice powder to coat well with the snakegourd and give a quick stir.
·        Once it is slightly cooked,add salt.
·        Just sprinkle little water now and then cook covered.
·        If required add another spn of oil and cook til it fry well.
·        Keep on turnings at intervals to ensure even frying of the snakegourds.
·        Switch off the flame.  Done!

Serve as a sidedish..
