Poha / Aval Upuma:
Ingredients :

Poha / Aval – 1 cup
·
Onion – 1 finely chopped
·
Green chilli – 1 finely chopped
·
Grated ginger – 1 spn
·
Roasted peanuts – 2 spn
·
Turmeric powder – 1 pinch
·
Salt as needed
·
Coriander leaves for garnishing
·
Lemon juice – 1 spn
For seasoning:
·
Oil – 2 spn
·
Mustard seeds – ½ spn
·
Urad dal – ½ spn
·
Channa dal – ½ spn
·
Curry leaves – few
·
Green chilli – 1 chopped
Preparation :
·
Wash aval in water to remove
impurities for 2 times. Drain the water completely.
·
Take the aval in a bowl, add a pinch
of turmeric powder and salt. Mix well. Keep it aside for 10 mins.
Method :
·
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds , when it splutters
add urad dal, channa dal,green chilli and curry leaves.
·
Then add chopped onions,ginger and
green chilli and sauté for few mins.
·
Then add soaked aval, roasted
peanuts and mix well. cook for 2 mins.
·
Squeeze a few drops of lemon juice
and mix well.
·
Garnish with coriander leaves..
Done!
Aval upuma is ready.. serve hot . J
