Oats Sweet Pongal:
Ingredients :

Oats – ½ cup
·
Split moong dal – ¼ cup
·
Water – 3/4cup
·
Jaggery – ½ cup
·
Salt – pinch(optional)
For seasoning:
·
Ghee – 2 spn
·
Cashew – 3 quatered
Preparation :
·
Wash and pressure cook the moong dal with enough water
until mushy.
·
To make seasoning: heat ghee in a pan ,roast the cashew till golden brown. keep
it aside.
Method :
·
Heat ghee in a heavy bottomed pan,add oats and sauté it
till oats gets lightly roasted.
·
Then add 3/4 cup of water and keep stirring until the oats
is cooked.
·
Put the jaggery and allow the jagery to melt into the oats
mixture.
·
Then add cooked moong dal .check the taste and adjust the
sweetness.
·
Cover and cook it on low flame.
·
Atlast add the seasoning mixture to the oats sweet pongal
and mix well everything.
Oats sweet pongal is
ready..serve hot ..J
