Healthy Oats Upuma:
Ingredients :

Oats – 1 cup
·
Onion – 1 small finely chopped
·
Green /red chilli – 2 chopped
·
Turmeric powder – ¼ spn
·
Sambar powder – ½ spn
·
Water – ½ cup
·
Salt as needed
·
Coriander leaves
To Temper :
·
Oil – 2 spn
·
Mustard seeds – 1 spn
·
Urad dal – 1 spn
·
Channa dal – 1 spn
·
Curry leaves
Preparation :
·
Dry roast the oats in a heat pan
for few mins until aroma comes.
Method :
·
Heat oil in a pan ,add all the
tempering items.
·
Then add the chopped onions and
fry until transparent.
·
Next add chilli and curry leaves
and sauté for few mins.
·
Then add turmeric powder,sambar
powder,salt along with water.
·
Allow it to boil till raw smell
goes off.
·
Add the oats and mix well.
·
If required sprinkle little
water.
·
Stir continuously until it cooked
well
·
Cover and cook for few mins.
·
Switch off the flame Done!
·
Garnish with coriander leaves.
You can add any vegetable like
carrot,potato,beans ,peas of your choice to make more colourful and more tasty.
